London’s old Town Hall was converted into a hotel, located close to the financial district, and refurbished in May 2010. Its exterior design was inspired by the foundations of the British Neoclassical architecture, with an interior that retains the Art Deco aesthetic. This fusion of modern and classic has made it a popular location for fashion shoots, films and video clips. It has also received the RICS London Award for Building Conservation and the National Project of the Year Award.
The profound presence of Miguel Mil”s Estado hanging lamp system, which is very much in keeping with the aesthetics of the space, was used for the interior of the ‘Council Chamber’.
